This guide gives you a quick-reference table for popular store-bought jars and their matching replacement lid sizes. We'll also explain how lid sizes work so you can figure out any jar on your own.
How Jar Lid Sizes Work
Jar lids are measured in millimeters (mm) — specifically, the inside diameter of the lid opening. This is the international standard used by jar and lid manufacturers worldwide.
In the US, most people are more familiar with inches, so millimeter measurements can feel unfamiliar at first. That's why we always include measurement photos in our listings at Nakpunar. If you're ever unsure, all you need is a school ruler: measure straight across the inside of the jar mouth in millimeters, and that number is your lid size.
The "TW" you'll see in the table below stands for twist/thread width — it describes how the lid threads onto the jar. So "63TW" means a twist lid with a 63mm opening.
