Do these jars come with spice shaker caps along with the lids?
Not all jars come with a shaker insert. Please check our wide variety of spice jars with shaker caps/inserts.
Do these jars stack securely on top of each other?
No, these jars cannot stack on each other unless stated in the title and description.
Do the jars have any writing or anything on the bottom?
Yes, the jars have mold numbers embossed under them. For quality control, we have to tag the jars somehow. If you have any jars without them, there is no guarantee they're lead-free, healthy choices.
Can these jars be used in the freezer?
Yes, you can. Please be sure not to fill it all the way top and defrost it at room temperature. These jars are not temper evident. You cannot take it from the freezer and put it in the microwave or oven.
Do they need to be sterilized before adding food?
We always recommend they be washed/sterilized before you use them. You can also Kosher them.
Are these dishwasher-safe?
The glass jars are dishwasher safe. We recommend the lids be hand-washed, though.
Are they magnetic?
No, they're not. But you can easily put magnets on the lid to make them magnetic spice jars. We do not recommend putting a magnet in the lid, where it can touch the food, as seen on the market. Magnets are toxic, flammable, and chippable. You don't want your food to touch them.
